BUSINESS PLAN
To understand your business, we value the quality over the quantity. The definition should be short, summarized in a document with no more than 3 pages or a presentation including 15-20 slides covering the following points:
- Brief description of your business and its distinctive feature.
- Description of the proposed transaction (start up, capital increase, total or partial sale, etc.)
- Description of products/services
- Which are they?
- Why are they necessary?
- Business Model
- How do you generate revenues making a distinction between products and services?li>
- If part of the revenues are recurring:
- in what proportion is the recurring within the total revenue?
- how are the recurring sales generated (type of contracts, renewal of contracts)?li>
- Which is your invoice model? At what price do you sell your products and services?
- Clients
- What is the profile of your clients? How are they classified?
- How are new clients gained ( sales channel)?
- How are the sales assigned? per client /type of client included in your portfolio?
- Competence
- Are your competitors, direct or indirect?
- What is your main competitive edge compared to your competitors??
- How are you going to maintain this competitive edge over time?
- Financial Statements (a five- year historic duration, the current year, a five-year projection)
- Income Statement: stratify according to service and product line.
- Cash flow with CAPEX details.
- Balance and detail of the debt.
- Management team and shareholders
- Who are they?
- What is their professional career and experience?
- What is the participation percentage of each one of the present shareholders?
- Need for investment/credit facilities.
- What level of investment is needed?
- What would you finance with this investment?
